Smart Systems incorporate sensing, actuation, and intelligent control in order to analyze, describe or resolve situations, making decisions based on the available data in a predictive or adaptive manner. Appropriated for computer scientists, mathematicians, as well as researchers from many application areas, pioneering computational methods in distinct research fields, such as space, physics, chemistry, life sciences, economics, security, engineering, arts, humanitarian etc., SmartSys’22 thematic track brings together computer vision, sensor networks, machine learning algorithms and applications to solve computational science problems. Other related areas are also welcome, such as augmented reality, human computer interaction, user experience, Internet of Things, Internet of everything, energy management systems, vehicle or person tracking system, operational research, evolutionary computation, and information systems in general, always with the focus in smart systems as tools to solve daily computational science based problems.


SmartSys’22 will be part of ICCS 2022 (International Conference on Computational Science), which will be held in London, United Kingdom, 21-23 June, 2022

Call for papers


Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original, unpublished research and recent developments in Computational Sciences. Accepted papers will be included in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series and indexed by Scopus, EI Engineering Index, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (included in ISI Web of Science), and several other indexing services. The papers will contain linked references, XML versions and citable DOI numbers. For more details see ICCS 2022.

Paper submission

Procedures for Submission

The manuscripts of up to 10-14 pages , written in English and formatted according to the Springer LNCS templates, should be submitted electronically via EasyChair. Visit EasyChair Home, if you do not have an account in EasyChair. Templates are available for download in the ICCS site.

Papers must be based on unpublished original work and must be submitted to SmartSys only. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper.

Deadlines for draft paper submission, notification of acceptance, camera-ready paper submission and registration may be found in the Important Dates section.

Registration


SmartSys’22 is a thematic track in the framework of the ICCS 2022 Conference and the fee of the Conference is needed. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper.
